Fitness & Nature Walks

FITNESS AND PERSONAL TRAINING

Discover our Interval training classes. This type of intermittent activity uses periods of anaerobic exercise and shorter recovery periods. These workouts typically last under 45 minutes, with time varying based on the participant’s fitness level. Interval workouts will provide improved athletic capacity and condition. Interval exercises can be practiced with or without equipment. The Aquidneck Club will offer members and their families a variety of fitness opportunities including personal training, in our newly remodeled gym, during the time most convenient for you.

MEET YOUR TRAINERS

Kyle McGowan– Kyle is currently a student at High Point University, NC. He has developed programs for NCAA Division 1 sports teams and also locally at fitness clubs on the island. Kyle prides himself “in the ability to skillfully and quickly create high quality workouts with accuracy and aesthetic.” He is a Certified Personal Trainer and Red Cross Certified in CPR and AED.

Christine Higgins – Christine has been a trainer since 2007. She is a graduate of RI College. Christine has taught personal training and fitness classes at many facilities on the island. She has competed in several triathalons and Spartan races and boot camps. Christine would like to “share her enthusiasm and determination to help everyone achieve their goals.” She is AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and certified in First aid and CPR.

Diane Guertler – Diane recently completed her training and certification requirements with the American College of Sports Medicine. She currently is a personal trainer and teaches fitness classes on the island. Diane’s approach with her students is “lifestyle centered for total fitness.” She focuses on what students want to improve in their overall health and well-being. Diane is also certified in First Aid and CPR.

Members will be cordially invited to our new Fitness Center and have the opportunity to meet Kyle, Christine and Diane.

NATURE WALKS

Mornings – 7AM – 8AM – Registration at Member Services is requested. Complementary refreshments and snacks upon your return.
