Swimming Lessons

Level 1 – Introduction to Water Skills: Build basic water safety skills to become comfortable in the water. These skills include adjusting to the water environment. Lessons will foster a positive, developmentally appropriate learning experience that emphasize foundational swimming concepts.

Level 2 – Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Build confidence in the water. Skills taught will include treading water, diving for objects, basic strokes and swimming on their own. Students must be able to safely enter and exit the water, bob to their chins, and float with support.

Level 3 – Stroke Development: Develop skills by learning the front crawl, back crawl and buttery kick. Diving, rotary breathing and survival floating are also explored. Students must be able to oat and swim 5 yards on their front and back without a floatation device.

All classes are taught by certified instructors in a safe and positive environment. Your child will learn basic aquatic skills including personal safety around water, stroke development, sports, games and rescue skills.

Assessments are conducted at the beginning of a session to help ensure proper placement in classes. These assessments are based on water skills appropriate for each level. Lessons are by appointment daily from May 28 to August 30.

Morning instruction is recommended from 8AM – 11AM. For more information on group classes or private lessons contact Wayne Turner
