Camp Aquidneck

Camp Aquidneck offers a structured opportunity for children to grow. Our goal is to expose children to new activities that stimulate interests and skills. Camp Aquidneck will boost confidence reinforced by success and will undoubtedly be a time of recreation and excitement! Children will become independent and self-empowered, while socializing and potentially building lifelong relationships. They will participate in golf, tennis, squash, water and team sports and games while at camp. “Fun Fridays” will offer children opportunities to participate in many diverse activities.

Diana Dinsmore will return for her 15th season as the leader of Camp Aquidneck. Diana’s top priority is building strong and confident children. She has a passion for the arts and a very creative approach to learning. She was the founder of the Gifted and Talented Dance program at Roger’s High School in Newport, RI. She created an inno- vative dance curriculum that received statewide and national recognition. For these efforts, Diana was recognized as the East Coast Dance Teacher of The Year. Diana earned her BA at the University of Iowa with a double major in Fine Arts and Physical Education. She received her MFA in Dance from Connecticut College.
