Visitors will learn about local salt marshes and rocky shorelines in the heart of Narragansett Bay. This experience will be hands-on highlighting local and relevant science issues. The Narragansett Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is one of 29 Research Reserves located around the country. It was established to provide long-term protection of coastal shores so they may serve as platforms for research, education and recreation. The Reserve is supported and administrated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and managed by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. This activity may be enjoyed by children and adults. Departs from the Aquidneck Marina.
